At an official opening ceremony held today in Stara Zagora, VIDEOTON Bulgaria inaugurated the fully renovated and expanded production base of its plastic parts factory. Over the past year, the group has invested more than EUR 2 million entirely of its own funds in renovating its industrial park. The project's implementation is an important step in VIDEOTON Bulgaria’s long-term strategy to modernize its facilities and expand production capacity, while also opening up a substantial amount of previously unused space at the site for lease.

The investment, amounting to EUR 2.12 million, covers the complete renovation of the entire area of 10,500 sq. m. of production halls, offices, and a parking lot, which will contribute to the additional optimization, automation, and significant increased efficiency of plastic parts production, as well as to improving the overall appearance of the group's industrial park.

Currently, the plastic injection moulding factory ensures employment to almost 200 people and has the capacity to produce over 2000 variations of thermoplastic parts for industrial and household products for several global brands, as well as more than 600 types of thermoset plastic parts for technical applications. The complexity and technological competitiveness of the injection moulding and pressing processes of thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics are ensured by an integrated specialized tool shop and a department for the design, construction, manufacture, testing, maintenance, and repair of tooling equipment, including injection moulds, press moulds, and the production of dies and fixtures.

Over the past few years, VIDEOTON Bulgaria has invested a total of over EUR 11 million in production infrastructure, equipment modernization, and efficiency improvements in all four companies of the group, as well as in the renovation of its industrial park and the space offered for rent therein. In 2024, over 7.5 million euros of this capital was invested in a new high-tech production facility for printed circuit board assembly, which employs more than 250 people. For this significant contribution to the industrial development of Stara Zagora and the region, the group was awarded the "Municipal Investor of the Year 2024" award in the "Large Municipality" category by the National Association of Municipalities in Bulgaria.

The implementation of the current large-scale infrastructure project is another strategic step towards potentially increasing the efficiency and production capacity of VIDEOTON Bulgaria to attract new customers, while also creating opportunities to utilize the available buildings within the industrial park by offering them to potential tenants.

Official guests at the ceremony included His Excellency Dr. Miklós Boros, Ambassador of Hungary in Sofia, Mr. Dani Bechev, Deputy District Governor of Stara Zagora District, Mr. Svetoslav Kolev, Deputy Mayor of Stara Zagora Municipality, representatives of the companies involved in this large-scale project, and long-term business partners of the company. After the ceremony, the guests toured the renovated production facility.
