Production up close: Career Guidance in a Real Work Environment
The visit was initiated by the International Youth Center - Stara Zagora and the local Career Guidance Center, part of the Center for Personal Development Support. Almost 20 young people - graduates of the “John Atanasov” Vocational High School of Electronics, “Hristo Botev” High School, “Knyaz Simeon Tarnovski” High School of Economics, and Trakia University - participated in the visit. Our young guests were interested in our production processes, learned how to ensure quality, and gained an understanding of the skills required to work in an industrial environment.
We started the guided tour at the plastic injection moulding factory. Our experienced colleague Desislava Aleksieva spoke in detail about the processes for producing parts from thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics, as well as about the role of the workshop for the design, repair, and production of tooling equipment.
The journey into the world of industry continued in our electromechanical assembly division under the expert guidance of colleague Monika Hadzhiyska, where the young people literally saw the path of the product, from the smallest particle to the finished product.
The final stop was our high-tech PCB assembly production facility. There, we followed the entire process - from the preparation of the substrate and components to the final testing of the printed circuit board ready for integration.
The visit ended with an inspiring meeting and conversation with one of our most experienced managers. Mr. Valentin Dichev spoke first-hand about his career path within the company - from the student bench in the late 80s through the various levels of professional growth to his current director position as well as the skills needed to manage hundreds of employees, about the daily challenges over the years and the most important life lesson: success comes with the understanding that every day is an opportunity to learn something new and develop.
